Abolition of Furnished Holiday Lets - HMRC clarify some common queries

October's Budget confirmed the Government's intention to remove the special tax treatments relating to Furnished Holiday Lettings (FHLs) with effect from April 2025.  

A policy paper has since been published, which clarifies HMRC's position regarding some common queries raised in connection with the planned abolition of the FHL regime. 

This recent publication answers some of the points raised by the ATT in our response to the draft legislation to abolish the FHL regime, which was published earlier this year.
